1. What are your hours?
I am opened from 6:45 am to 6:15 pm Monday through Friday.
2. What ages do you care for?
Ages 18 months to 5 years.
3. How many children do you care for?
6 children for pay, in addition to my own 2 children. I am also authorized to care for 2 additional children before or after school for 2 hours.
4. Do you have assistants?
Yes, my assistants help provide fun activities, security, maintenance, and is my back-up. They play with the children, as well as care for them when I need to run an errand or have an appointment. They have been fingerprinted and are CPR and First Aid trained as well as myself and my husband.
5. What are your childcare fees?
Please call or email. The fee depends on the child’s age and schedule.
6. What do you provide?
I provide meals and snacks, even during fieldtrips . In addition, I offer KidCrafters curriculum, Weekly 'Reader, Hooked on Phonics and my own child centered curriculum included in weekly tuition fees.
7. What do I need to provide?
I will need all the paperwork filled out and kept up to date. We usually go on a monthly fieldtrip where the parents are responsible for any fieldtrip admission fees. In addition, we occasionally ask for parent volunteers to chaperone our outside activities.
8. How do you handle discipline?
I use redirection and if that does not work, I will use time out. Lots of time is spent on teaching children to communicate using words; therefore minimizing toddler behavior problems.
9. Is your home inspected?
Yes, at least three times a year by the Federal Food Program, and once a year by Bright from the Start Georgia Child Care Licensing Department.
10. Do you have backup care if you are not available?
Parents are responsible for their own backup care in the case that I am not open (holiday or a rare planned day off).
