For as long as I could remember children and education have been my passion. I like many others tried other career paths but I have always ended up back on the same road of Education. For this reason and many others I with the support of my family chose to open A Step Ahead Preschool (ASAP). A Step Ahead Preschool has been in the makings for many years, but wasn't actually launched until November 2006. I have worked with children for the last 12 years. I have served as a center director for a corporate learning center in California, and before that I was program associate working with gifted children at California State University, Sacramento. My educational background includes a B.A. degree in Child Development from Sacramento State University and I am currently completing my thesis for my M.A. degree in Early Childhood Education also from Sacramento State University. My family includes my hard working and supportive husband Malonn, my 5 year old little princess Maya and our newest princess in training 1 year old Nia.
